Appearing on our next Ken Boxer Live are two very popular performers, Samuel Alvarez and Chelsea Jordan, with the Cavalia Odysseo, currently stationed in Oxnard, CA.

Cavalia Odysseo, for those who haven’t heard, is a theatrical extravaganza, a unique blend of equestrian and performing arts, with state-of-the-art special effects. Its magnificent stage of 50 riders, acrobats, and musicians share the stage with 65 majestic horses. It’s a must-see!

Samuel Alvarez, resident artistic director, was born in Texas. At age five he was already fearless. Diving, gymnastic, dance and tech classes were just a normal part of his childhood routine. His love of circus arts began when he first saw a circus on TV, and his passion for the stage arts continued to grow ever since.

At age 24, he was cast in his first major production with Cirque du Soleil, then later joined Odysseo in 2012 as an acrobat, aerialist and trainer. He now uses his multi-dimensional expertise as the show’s resident artistic director. Samuel speaks English.

Chelsea Jordan grew up riding in Washington State. She started at age seven and went on to show quarter horses and paints in several different disciplines. As a teenager, she began learning dressage and has loved the discipline ever since.

Prior to joining Odysseo, she worked in international development, earning degrees in International Relations and Environmental Policy, and serving in the US Peace Corps from 2012-2014 in Botswana. She joined Odysseo in 2016 and considers it to be her dream job because she gets to work with horses, art, and an international community all at the same time.
